No Heat Required!

chopping food on a cutting board

Last week Justine shared a number of recipes that don’t require any chopping. This week I’d like to share some recipes that don’t require any cooking. Sometimes it’s nice to have a recipe that uses minimal equipment and no heat required!

Breakfast: During the weekdays when we are heading to work and school, breakfast is quick at our house, so we usually have things that don’t require cooking. We really like smoothies and we like peanut butter and chocolate together, so the Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie is a favorite of ours.

Lunch/Dinner: When I need to make something quick to take to work for lunch, a couple of my go-to recipes are Spicy Tuna Salad and Chicken Salad. The Chicken Salad calls for cooked chicken but I use canned chicken so it doesn’t require any cooking. I like to eat them with crackers.

Snack: My daughter loves to make Frozen Yogurt Bark to have for a snack. Sometimes she likes to add a few chocolate chips along with the fruit, coconut, and almonds.😊 For a savory snack, the White Bean Dip is a good option. It goes well with vegetables or crackers.

Dessert: For dessert, try Banana Ice Cream. It’s a great way to use up ripe bananas.

Next week Katy will share recipes she likes to make in the microwave.
