Beef Stew

Welcome to December! This time of year is busy, but I hope you can find a couple of hours to make our recipe of the month – Beef Stew. This recipe is hearty and it fills your home with a wonderful smell. Below I have some tips from my family on making this recipe.

From me: Plan ahead for this recipe. From washing and chopping the vegetables to the cook time, this recipe takes nearly two hours to make. I rarely have that much time to make a meal, so I usually add the ingredients (except the water and cornstarch) to my slow cooker, cook on low for 8 hours, and stir in the water and cornstarch right before I serve it.

From my husband: Make Beef Stew on a cold day. This recipe is perfect for warming you up on a cold winter evening.

From my children: Serve this stew with bread. They recommend bread rolls, garlic bread, and bread and butter.
