Look for oranges that are heavy, firm, have smooth skin and a pleasant citrus smell. Avoid oranges with rough, thick, blemished, or unevenly colored skins.
Store in refrigerator for up to 2 or 3 weeks.
Rinse oranges under cool running water before eating.
Peel the rind and the white layer off the orange using your hands. You can eat the sections plain or as part of a vegetable or fruit salad.
