Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Wash cauliflower. Remove stem and leaves. Break into florets.
  2. Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a saucepan. Add cauliflower. Cover and cook until tender (10-12 minutes).
  3. Drain water from cauliflower. Add butter and milk to cauliflower. Mash with a potato masher or a fork.
  4. Stir in salt, ground black pepper, and garlic powder.
