Selection
Choose peppers that are bright in color and firm. Avoid peppers that have brown or soft spots on them.
Storing
Refrigerate bell peppers in a plastic bag and use within 5 days. Bell peppers are susceptible to damage if they get too cold. They should not be stored below 35°F.
Cleaning
Rinse bell peppers under cool running water before eating. Pat dry using a paper towel.
Preparing
Bell peppers are great raw. Add pepper slices to vegetable trays, salads, sandwiches, or wraps.
