Selection
Choose kiwi that is plump and gives slightly to pressure. The brown fuzzy skin should appear dry. Avoid kiwi that are squishy or wrinkled.
Storing
Store at room temperature for several days. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
Cleaning
Rinse kiwifruit under cool running water before use.
Preparing
Cut the kiwi in half and use a spoon to scoop out the fresh green fruit. The skin can also be eaten for extra fiber.
Layer low-fat yogurt, chopped or sliced kiwi, and whole grain cereal in a glass for a quick breakfast or snack.
